Dear Comedians on tv,
Please stop having whole sections of your show dedicated to showing funny viral pictures/videos from the internet. It’s lazy and shitty and not funny.
Example: ‘The Sarah Millican Television Programme’

Eugh, lame.

Organised all my comics on my bed. Genuinely didn’t realise I had so many Batmanses.

I stopped posting things on tumblr for a while. Decided to make a return.
Here’s Batman putting on Hal Jordan’s Green Lantern ring in ‘Revenge of the Green Lanterns.’ Spoiler: It’s super badass.

Television is in an odd state at the moment - reality trash tv is more popular than ever but I don’t feel like it’s shoved down my throat as much as it used to be. Instead I’m finding more and more shows to watch on Sky or on the internet that either debuted a couple of years ago and are really hitting their stride now or shows that have recently begun and are immediately excellent.
It’s hard being really into films and cinema and living in Scarborough. There’s only a couple of local screens and none of them are very good so I find myself enjoying tv a lot more than films for the first time ever. It’s mainly due to circumstance and thankfully the abundance of ridiculously entertaining and well crafted shows that are out now.
I just thought I’d list a few of them - check them out if you haven’t had the chance.
- Breaking Bad
- Game of Thrones
- Dexter (Season 6 just started - it’s still great and has been renewed for two more seasons)
- Parks and Recreation
- Louie
- Wilfred
- The Walking Dead (hit and miss episodes but high production value)
- American Horror Story
- Modern Family
- Up All Night (staring Christina Applegate, Maya Rudolph and Will Arnett)
- Boardwalk Empire
- Community
Note: Community just got pulled from NBC halfway through the season. The rest of the episodes will air at an undetermined date but it might mean the death of the show. So the whole Arrested Development saga (critically acclaimed, low ratings, cancelled too early, brought back due too huge demand) apparently taught studios absolutely nothing.
BRACE YOURSELF. WINTER IS COMING.
